Gamers8 is the largest esports and gaming festival in the world, featuring a variety of tournaments, attractions, and concerts. The festival took place in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. One of the most anticipated events in Gamers8 was the Street Fighter 6 tournament, which had a whopping $1,000,000 USD prize pool for the Street Fighter Tournament and took place from August 10 to August 13, 2023.
32 of the best Street Fighter players from around the world were invited to compete in this prestigious event.
Angry Bird and Big Bird had an impressive performance at Gamers8, advancing to the playoffs by playing in Group D and Group E respectively. They secured their spot in the top 16, where they faced prominent players such as Nephew, Kilzyou, DCQ, Kakeru, and VXBAO. They showed their skills, determination, and resilience to reach the final four and Big Bird finished 4th, winning $80,000 USD, and Angry Bird placed 2nd place, winning $200,000 USD.
They have been representing the MENA region on the global stage for years, winning countless trophies and accolades along the way. They also formed a strong bond with each other, training together and traveling together to various tournaments.
