This year has been phenomenal for NASR ESPORTS FGC division, our run of notable achievements started with Latif securing a commendable 2nd place at BAM in Australia. His performance set the tone for an incredible year ahead.
Following this, Big Bird became the first Arab player and Red Bull athlete to win Red Bull Kumite 2023, showcasing his exceptional skill and talent beating a field of international super starts. His victory at this event was more than just a win; it was a symbol of his unwavering commitment and hard work.
The spotlight then turned to Angry Bird, who achieved a spectacular victory at the prestigious EVO 2023, crowning him the first Arab the Street Fighter 6 world Champion after defeating world renowned Capcom Cup IX champion MenaRD. His triumph was a major highlight of the year, demonstrating his unparalleled skill in the FGC which even Dash Fight awards recognized this particular battle as match of the year.
Our success continued at the Gamers8 global Invitational Street Fighter 6 tournament, where Angry Bird and Big Bird secured the 2nd and 4th places, respectively. These achievements were a clear indication of our dominant presence in the competitive scene.
Team NASR ESPORTS also have an undefeated run in the US PRO SFL (Street Fighter League) 2023, a remarkable feat that underscored our consistent performance and team synergy.
Big Bird further showcased his talent by winning the CPT Online Event: Middle East, securing his place at Capcom Cup X, and then emerging victorious at the CPT 2023 World Warrior: Middle East Regional Finals.
Tekken Master, known for his strategic gameplay, made a triumphant return to international competition at the UFA (Ultimate Fighting Arena) 2023 in France, winning the Mortal Kombat 1 tournament and sending a clear message that he remains a formidable force in the FGC.
The achievements this year culminated with Angry Bird’s win at FAV Japan 2023 after defeating the Japanese legend Tokido in the Grand Finals, adding another prestigious title to his collection.
